Week 24!

It is hard to believe that I am already nearing the end of my 24th week of pregnancy. It seems like my tummy has doubled in size over the past three weeks. Scott says that it looks bigger every day--what an honest husband. Here is a picture of me...and of Scott at 24 weeks.

The Inside Scoop...

For all our friends and family, this is our attempt to share more of our day to day with you. This is an exciting time for us as our family expands, and many of you have wanted to keep up with all the transitions and changes. We hope you enjoy getting a glimpse into our life here in Raleigh.

The first adventure we will share is about the painting of the nursery. We decided it would be fun to add some color to our all white apartment by painting our little man's room. I, Jessica, love the color green, and Scott loves key lime pie, so we decided to go with a green color that was called "Key Lime Pie"! During my first trip to Lowe's, I bought one gallon and one quart. We tried to get away with painting only one coat by diligently taking our time and covering every inch. The gallon got us almost all the way around the room, so Scott used the quart to finish, for touch-ups, and for the corners. He felt quite accomplished--and had every reason to feel so. The next morning, we took a peek at our beautifully painted room, only to see a beautifully polka-dotted room. Everywhere we used the quart, it was a lighter shade of green. Aahhhh! Needless to say, I took another trip to Lowe's and eventually returned with another gallon of our beloved "Key Lime Pie." This past Sunday evening, with the help of our friend Holly, we put on a second coat. We were pleased to see the brush strokes blend into ONE color--it looks great! Whew! To reward Scott for all his hard work, I surprised him with a homemade pie...Yep, it was Key Lime!
